Husqvarna has unveiled the 2025 Vitpilen 801, revealing its sculptural roadster brother, after the new Svartpilen 801 was introduced globally earlier this year. Together with minor but noticeable mechanical improvements, the Vitpilen 801 receives a few minor but noteworthy design tweaks for 2025, making it a more attractive and desirable motorcycle.
To begin with, the Vitpilen 801 has a different front end design than the Svartpilen 801, which is more akin to a scrambler. Everything is new, including the radiator shrouds, LED headlamp, and some of the bodywork. The Svartpilen 801 is not as violent or as devoted as the riding triangle. Beneath, the WP Apex Vitpilen 801 is constructed with a steel chassis and is supported by an adjustable USD and monoshock arrangement. Braking duties are handled by a twin-disc setup at the front and a single disc at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with Michelin Road 6 tyres and travels on 17-inch wheels.
A 799 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine from the KTM 790 Duke powers the Husqvarna Vitpilen 801’s powerplant. This engine is also used in the Svartpilen 801. The motor is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and is rated to produce a peak power output of 105 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque output of 87 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The motorcycle is equipped with dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, riding modes, and cornering traction control.
When it launches, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 will compete with the KTM 890 Duke, Triumph Street Triple R, and Kawasaki Z900.
