The Volkswagen Virtus has just got two new variation lines: GT Line and GT Plus Sport, which feature cosmetic improvements over the compact sedan’s conventional variants and are available with their respective powertrain options. Virtus GT Line And GT Plus Sport
Exterior
On the outside, both variations are treated similarly. These new variants include a blacked-out treatment that includes the grille, bumpers, “Virtus” insignia, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The smoked appearance also blacks out the LED headlamps and taillights. Even the window beltline is completed in black.The GT Plus Sport model also features red “GT” badges throughout, a black rear spoiler, red brake callipers, a dual-tone roof, and an Aero kit for the bumpers, door cladding, and diffusers.
Interior
Inside, these variations feature an all-black cabin decor, while the dashboard’s red elements are replaced with glossy black ones. Both models have aluminum pedals, and door handles, sunvisors, and grab handles are finished in black.
The GT Line variations feature black semi-leatherette seats, while the GT Plus Sport variants have black leatherette upholstery with contrasting red stitching. This model additionally has red accents on the steering wheel.
The GT Line variations include features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, cruise control, a single-pane sunroof, and red ambient lighting. The GT Line variations are only available with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, whilst the GT Plus Sport variants have a larger and more powerful engine. Both of these models come with manual and automatic transmission options.
Taigun GT Line
The Taigun GT Line variations, which have been on sale for some time, have also received upgrades with additional features. They have added an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, push-button start/stop, aluminum pedals, rain-sensing wipers, and automated headlamps to their current feature list.
Virtus And Taigun Highline Plus Variants
Furthermore, VW has launched a new variant line for the Vitrus and Taigun, which sits above the mid-spec Highline model. This model is only available with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine and comes with both manual and automatic transmission.
In terms of features, the Highline Plus variants gain an 8-inch digital driver’s display, auto-dimming IRVM, push-button start stop, single-pane sunroof, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and follow-me-home and lead-me-to-vehicle functionality for the lights in addition to the existing equipment such as the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, and a rearview camera.
The Volkswagen Virtus is priced between Rs 11.56 lakh and Rs 19.41 lakh, making it a competitor to the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, and Honda City. The Taigun’s costs range from Rs 11.70 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, and it competes with compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Skoda Kushaq.
