2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T As Manual-Only Sports Car

Porsche has launched the latest generation of the 911 Carrera T for the global market. The Carrera T is available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles and sits between Porsche’s base 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera GTS models. An intriguing fact is that the 911 Carrera T is exclusively available with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The Carrera T weighs 1478 kg in its lightest form, which is 40 kg lighter than the existing 911 Carrera. Weight-saving features include lightweight windows and optional bucket seats. The Carrera T also features rear-axle steering and Porsche’s PASM adaptive sports suspension, which lowers the car by 10 mm. It also gets larger 350 mm discs on all wheels, with six-piston calipers up front.

The Carrera T is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 487 horsepower and 450 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox transmits power to the rear wheels, replacing the preceding 911 Carrera T’s 7-speed manual and automatic dual-clutch transmission options.

Visually, the 2025 Carrera T receives a number of minor cosmetic changes, including new alloy wheels, headlamps with four slit-like LED daytime running lamps, reworked taillamps, and changed front and rear bumpers.

The interior configuration is largely unchanged from the previous Carrera T model, with the exception of new Sport-Tex leather for the seats and a shorter gear lever with an open-pore walnut laminated wood gear knob. It also gets the new completely digital instrument cluster that is featured on previous 992.2 models.
