Mahindra BE 6: Variants, Features Explained

Mahindra just unveiled the BE 6 electric SUV in India, coupled with the XEV 9e. The BE 6 and XEV 9e are Mahindra’s first vehicles to be built on the all-new INGLO platform, which was unveiled in November 2024. The former is the sportier of the two vehicles, with matching style and features. Let’s take a look at all of the features available in each of the five models, along with their respective costs.

Pack One (59 kWh)

Price: 18.90 Lakh (ex-showroom)

The base edition of the BE 6, which costs Rs 18.90 lakh, comes only with a 59 kWh battery pack, as with all other variations save the Pack Three. Even in its lowest configuration, the BE 6 has a decent set of equipment, including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The BE 6 Pack 1 also includes a start/stop button, climate control, an electronic parking brake, rear AC vents, six speakers, automatic headlights, and type C charging connections in the front and rear.A few conspicuous omissions from the variant include alloy wheels, a wireless phone charger, and dual-zone climate control. It should also be noted that this model has cloth upholstery, just like the Pack One Above and Pack Two. The SUV features six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, brake-by-wire, and a rear parking camera with sensors.

The Pack One Above, which costs Rs 1.60 lakh more than the base variant, makes up for the price difference with amenities like a wireless charger in the front, dual-zone automated climate control, a fixed glass infinity roof, and larger 19-inch wheels with aero wheel covers.

Pack Two (59 kWh)

The Pack Two variant is the entry point to the Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite in the BE 6. However, the Pack Two only gets one radar and one vision camera, unlike the top of the line variants which gets five radar cameras, and a greater set of driver assistance features. This variant also gets sequential turn indicators, front fog lamps, cornering lamps, front parking sensors, and a 16-speaker Harman/Kardon Audio system with Dolby Atmos.

Pack Three Select (59 kWh)

Price: Rs 24.50 lakh (ex-showroom)

The BE 6 Pack Three Select, priced at Rs 2.6 lakh more than the Pack Two variant, comes with a slew of comfort and convenience amenities. The EV’s upholstery and steering wheel are finished in leatherette, and this edition includes ventilated front seats, a 6-way power adjustable driver seat with a 2-way adjustable manual lumbar, flush door handles that deploy electrically, auto-folding ORVMs, and an electronic tailgate. The Pack Three Select edition also receives an additional knee airbag, bringing the total number of airbags to seven, as well as a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and autopark feature. It also includes the Eyedentity – DOMS function, which detects the driver’s face to identify drowsiness while simultaneously serving as a selfie camera.

The BE 6’s top-spec variant costs Rs 2.40 lakh more than the Pack Three Select and is the only one with a larger 79 kWh battery. This item can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC Charger. The version receives a few more features over the Pack Three Select, including ambient lighting and carpet lamps. It also has a more advanced Level-2 ADAS suite with five radars and capabilities including driver-initiated auto lane change, lane centering and emergency steering help, blind spot detection, and front and rear cross traffic alert.
