Tata Harrier EV
The Tata Harrier EV is the country’s first future SUV. The new model is believed to be identical to the facelifted Harrier ICE variant, with EV-specific tweaks to the front and rear bumpers. In terms of inside amenities, the EV SUV will come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 4-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, 9-speaker JBL sound system, ADAS suite, ambient lighting, and more.
The Harrier EV’s engine is planned to use a 60 kWh or 70 kWh battery pack with a stated range of up to 500 kilometers. Additionally, the Harrier EV will be available with dual electric motors, allowing for AWD versions. In terms of introduction, the Tata Harrier EV is expected to hit dealerships in January 2025.
Mahindra BE.05Â
The Mahindra BE05 is the next incoming SUV in India. The Mahindra BE.05 will be the brand’s first electric SUV from its BE lineup. Regarding design, the EV has a distinct appearance, with vertical LED DRLs and a dynamic roof spoiler at the rear. The EV SUV also features air curtains on the hood for improved aerodynamics. In terms of interior design, Mahindra has packed the BE.05 with cutting-edge technology and amenities to compete with market leaders like as the Tata Curvv EV and the future Hyundai Creta.
The Mahindra BE.05 is based on the brand’s new INGLO platform. Talking about the battery specs, we expect the new model to be equipped with a battery pack in the range of 60 kWh to 80 kWh and have a claimed range of around 500 km. Additionally, Mahindra claims the model to run 0-100 kmph in just 5 to 6 seconds. The Mahindra BE.05 is expected to hit the showrooms by the end of 2024 or early 2025. Talking about the price, the SUV will be priced between Rs 17 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
