The price of TVS Raider in India starts at Rs. 85,973 and goes up to Rs. 99,990. TVS Raider comes with 3 variants which include Raider Drum, and Raider Disc. The top variant is Raider SmartXonnect which comes at a price tag of Rs. 99,990.

The Hosur-based bikemaker re-entered the 125cc motorcycle segment with the TVS Raider. Armed with several segment-first features, the Raider is essentially a premium 125cc bike rather than an entry-level, no-frills one.

2. 2023 Honda SP125

The Honda SP125 is the Japanese bikemaker’s most premium 125cc bike sold in India. It is loaded with features including a silent starter, LED headlight, a fully-digital instrument cluster among others.

It is powered by a new 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor which generates 10.8PS at 7500rpm, 0.57PS more than the BS4 Shine SP. The engine features an ACG starter which makes sure the engine is cranked silently.

3. 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS125

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a sportier offering by Bajaj in the 125cc segment, targeted towards the youth. You get the iconic Pulsar NS200’s styling but with accessible performance.  

The Pulsar NS125 is powered by a 124.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that comes with an electronic carburetor to keep costs in check. It produces 11.99PS at 8500rpm and 11Nm at 7000rpm, 0.19PS, and 0.2Nm more than the Pulsar 125 Split Seat’s engine. The motor is mated to a 5-speed transmission and Bajaj claims a power-to-weight ratio of 83.3PS per ton.

4. 2023 Hero Glamour Xtec

The price of Hero Glamour Xtec in India starts at Rs. 84,838 and goes up to Rs. 89,438. Hero Glamour Xtec comes with 2 variants which include Glamour Xtec Drum. The top variant is the Glamour Xtec Disc which comes at a price tag of Rs. 89,438.

The Hero Glamour Xtec is powered by 124.7cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 10.72 bhp and a torque of 10.6 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Glamour Xtec comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Glamour Xtec bike weighs 122 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters.

5. 2023 Hero Passion Pro

Hero has introduced two new trims of the Passion 110: XTec drum and XTec disc. Prices for this variant start from Rs 74,590 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it around Rs 3,770 dearer than the standard drum version of the Passion.

After the BS6 updates, the 110cc motor of the Hero Passion Pro pumps out 9.1PS and 9.79Nm. The BS6 figures are 0.41PS less and 0.79Nm more than the BS4 motor. Hero claims the BS6 motor delivers five per cent more mileage than before. You get a four-speed gearbox on the Passion Pro.

6. 2023 Honda Livo

The Honda Livo BS6 price starts from Rs 73,938 for the base variant. This one gets a 130mm drum brake up front. The top-of-the-line Deluxe version comes with a 240mm front disc priced at Rs 77,938 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Honda Livo BS6 gets an all-new 109.51cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with fuel injection. It is the same powerplant that does duty in the Honda CD 110 Dream. The engine is loaded with several friction reduction technologies such as piston cooling jet, roller rocker arm with needle bearing, and an offset cylinder. All these changes help in improving the mileage of the motorcycle. The engine produces 8.79PS at 7500rpm and 9.30Nm at 5500rpm. In comparison, the BS4-compliant 109.19cc single-cylinder carburetted engine produced 8.42PS at 7500rpm and 9.09Nm at 5000rpm. The engine is linked to a 4-speed transmission as before.

7. 2023 Hero Splendor Plus

The price of Hero Splendor Plus in India starts at Rs. 71,176 and goes upto Rs. 75,446. Hero Splendor Plus comes with 4 variants which includes Splendor Plus Self with Alloy Wheel, Splendor Plus Black and Accent. The top variant is Splendor Plus XTEC which comes at a price tag of Rs. 75,446.

Powering the Hero Splendor Plus is the reliable and frugal 97.2cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8PS and 8.05Nm, working in conjunction with a four-speed gearbox. It is underpinned by a double downtube cradle frame, suspended on a conventional telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers with preload adjustability. The Splendor rolls on 18-inch wheels with 130mm drum brakes at both ends. It misses out on a front disc brake even as an option. The Splendor Plus tips the scales at 112kg (kerb). The bike comes with a 9.8-litre fuel tank, and a 785mm tall seat.

8. 2023 Hero HF Delux

Hero launched the BS6-compliant HF Deluxe in India at Rs 55,925 (ex-showroom). Apart from new paint options, there are no cosmetic updates to report. The main change is the engine, which is now fuel injected.

The Hero HF Deluxe produces 8.02PS at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6000rpm. In comparison, the BS4 Hero HF Deluxe produces 0.34PS less at the same rpm. Interestingly, the peak torque is the same as the BS6 model but it arrives 1000rpm earlier. The engine works in conjunction with a 4-speed transmission. The 110cc bike is built on a double-cradle frame with a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Brakes include 130mm drum with a combined braking system and the alloy wheels. The motorcycle tips the scales at 110kg for the kick-start variant and 112kg for the self-start model.

The price of Honda Shine in India starts at Rs. 78,414 and goes upto Rs. 83,914. Honda Shine comes with 4 variants which includes Shine Drum, Shine Celebration Edition Drum. The top variant is Shine Celebration Edition Disc which comes at a price tag of Rs. 83,914.

The Honda Shine 125 looks identical to its predecessor, the Honda CB Shine 125. It misses out on modern touches like an LED headlight or a fully digital instrument cluster. The instrumentation is a pretty basic twin pod cluster showing minimal info like speed, odometer and fuel gauge. The TVS Star City Plus’s 109cc single-cylinder BS6-compliant motor makes 8.19PS at 7350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4500rpm, mated to a 4-speed transmission. The addition of a fuel injection has improved its throttle response and cold starts compared to the older carbureted version. TVS claims the bike can achieve a top speed of 90kmph, which is perfect for commuters of this class.
