BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Images and Specification

BMW has introduced the 3 Series Gran Limousine mid-life update in India for Rs 57.90 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 59.50 lakh for the diesel option (both prices are ex-showroom). We’ve driven the long-wheelbase 3 Series in this configuration, so let’s take a closer look at it through our photos.

Changes from the pre-LCI version include a sleeker and more aggressive headlamp configuration, a sharper-looking bumper design, and a bigger air inlet below the kidney grille.

The new 18-inch alloy wheels are shod in 225/45 profile tyres up front and 255/40 section tyres at the rear. The back receives little modifications, although we appreciate the twin exhaust tips protruding from either side of the revised bumpers.

Inside the interior, the most noticeable difference is BMW’s new curved display. It has a floating wide-screen system with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch driver’s display and runs the latest OS8 of the iDrive interface.

Even the iconic gearlever seen on all BMWs in the last decade or so has given way to a toggle-switch style gear selection. Both versions offered in India are only available in the M Sport model, which includes all of the M-package goodies.

A large panoramic sunroof is included as part of the upgrade. Other standard features include three-zone temperature control, leather upholstery, a Harman Kardon audio system, and parking assistance.

A 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 255bhp and 400Nm is available, as is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with 188bhp and 400Nm. Both engines come equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
