BMW Motorrad India has unveiled the new M 1000 XR in India, priced at Rs 45 lakh, ex-showroom. India gets the M Competition version, which includes a lot of carbon fibre parts, such as the wheels, side panels, front wheel cover, and many more. Let’s start with the bike’s look, too.

-M Competiton variant launched

-Powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine

-Sprints from 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds

Power and Torque

The BMW M 1000 XR is powered by an engine adapted from the S 1000 RR superbike, with an incredible 201hp and 113Nm of torque. This powertrain is fitted with BMW’s ShiftCam variable valve timing/lift technology and titanium valves, making it the world’s most powerful touring bike.

Acceleration and Speed

The M 1000 XR reaches thrilling acceleration with a 3.2-second 0-100kph time and a top speed of 278kph, thanks to an upgraded gear ratio and larger rear sprocket.

Features and Design

The BMW M 1000 XR has a unique look that is enhanced by standard carbon wheels and winglets, in typical M fashion. The bike performs better thanks to these aerodynamic improvements, which also give it a sportier appearance when riding.

Technology and Comfort

Advanced electronic rider supports on the M 1000 XR include launch control, race ABS, and multiple riding modes. The addition of creature conveniences like cruise control, heated grips and tyre pressure monitoring further improves the riding experience in general.

Numerous high-end features are available with this version, such as a M GPS lap timer, billet M rider and passenger footrests, and carbon fibre wheels. The M 1000 XR, with its 223 kg kerb weight, is the ideal combination of stability and speed.

Pricing

The BMW M 1000 XR is priced at Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which puts it in the middle of BMW’s performance motorcycle lineup between the M 1000 R and the M 1000 RR. The cost may appear high, but it is justified by the machine’s exceptional craftsmanship, rarity, and capability.
