The 2024 BMW S 1000 XR is currently on sale in India at Rs. 22.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with models like as the Ducati Multistrada V4 in India. The S 1000 XR receives a few modest visual changes over the previous model for 2024, including new side panels towards the rear and a front fender painted in the same color as the body. The motorbike now sits 10 mm higher than before, with a redesigned seat that is more suitable for extended saddle time. Other updates to the S 1000 XR include new color choices and improved graphics.
2024 BMW S 1000 XR Engine
The S 1000 XR features a reworked 999 cc inline-four cylinder engine with flow optimized geometry. It produces 168 horsepower at 11,000 rpm, with a peak torque output of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. The motorbike is equipped with a 6-speed transmission and a bidirectional quickshifter. The S 1000 XR features four ride modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Dynamic Pro. The motorbike can reach a high speed of 253 km/h and completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.25 seconds.
BMW S 1000 XR Specs
The S 1000 XR features a 320 mm dual disc braking unit up front and a smaller 220 mm single disc layout in the back. The new sport tourer has technologies including lean-sensitive ABS and traction control, cruise control, and wheelie control as standard.
The optional M package allows owners to further modify their motorbike. This package only contains the distinctive Light white/M Motorsport paintwork, the M Sport seat, M lightweight battery, M forged wheels, M Endurance chain, M GPS-Laptrigger, sports silencer, tinted sport windscreen, and a black fuel filler cap.
