Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched At Rs 1.85 Lakh

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has been launched in India, at a starting price of Rs 1.85 lakh ex-showroom. As the 400 name implies, this is the largest, most powerful Bajaj Pulsar ever, and here is what makes it stand out from the rest of the Pulsar series.

The Pulsar NS400Z is essentially an extension of the NS200 design. The headlamp stands out with its big, thunderbolt-style DRLs and LED projector light. Based on the intensity and spread of the Pulsar N250’s headlamp, anticipate this headlight to be as excellent, if not better. Moving to the side reveals a big tank with well-incorporated tank extensions. There is good attention to detail, and we enjoy how the aforementioned extensions overlap the radiator shroud. Also, don’t overlook the carbon fiber stickering on these shrouds.

The Pulsar NS400Z’s side and tail portions are reminiscent of the NS200, but with a sharper appearance. The tail light, on the other hand, is comparable to the NS200’s, and some fans hoped that the NS400Z would have stood out more than the NS200.

As the new flagship Pulsar, the NS400Z is packed with goodies. You get all LED lighting, switchable traction control, and four ride modes: road, rain, sport, and off-road. These settings affect both throttle responsiveness and ABS intervention levels. It also features adjustable levers.

The instrument cluster is a modern digital LCD device that has Bluetooth connection. When coupled with a smartphone via a specialized app, the display shows incoming calls, missed calls, SMS notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation information.

The NS400Z is powered by the same engine found in the Dominar 400. It has a 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with 39.4bhp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,5000rpm. It is equipped with a six-speed transmission with an assist/slipper clutch.

The NS400Z’s chassis consists of a perimeter frame that is supported by a 43mm USD fork at the front and a gas-charged, preload adjustable monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc in the front and a 230mm disc in the back. Dual-channel ABS is standard.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Price In India

With pricing starting at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) as an initial deal, the Pulsar NS400Z represents excellent value. There’s never been a near-400cc street naked motorbike at this pricing bracket before. In terms of competitors, the NS400Z is positioned between the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Triumph Speed 400.
