Citroen C5 Aircross Concept Unveiled

Citroen revealed the C5 Aircross concept at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The C5 Aircross will be Citroen’s first car to use Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which supports internal combustion, hybrid, and electric powertrains. Citroen has said that the production-spec C5 Aircross will launch in 2025. However, the French automaker has only revealed the car’s exterior design.

Citroen C5 Aircross: design

The C5 Aircross concept’s style is considerably different from the car it will eventually replace, and it follows Citroen’s new design language. It develops a boxier, more upright form, giving it a rough aspect. The concept vehicle’s front end resembles the European-spec C3 Aircross, with a three-point light signature that combines horizontal DRLs and vertically stacked headlamps on either side.

The vehicle’s formidable image is reinforced by flared wheel arches and huge chunky wheels. A few unique design aspects include the longer rear overhang and the tail lamps, which are a combination of two fins located on each side, towards the C-pillar, and two horizontal lines on either side of the Citroen logo at the back.

Citroen C5 Aircross: Powertrain

Citroen has yet to share any other information about the concept vehicle, including a look at the interior. The C5 Aircross is likely to be available with a variety of internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains.
