Citroen Basalt coupe SUV spied Testing Again

Citroen revealed the exterior design and debut date of its coming coupe SUV, the Basalt, in India. The French automaker’s sixth all-new model is slated to launch in the second half of this year. And ahead of its official unveiling, the coupe SUV was spotted testing late at night on Indian roads.

  • To be launched later this year
  • Will be based on the C3 Aircross SUV

The Basalt, which is based on the C3 Aircross, has a similar front fascia as the SUV and a unique two-slat grille that cleverly houses the Citroen insignia. Furthermore, the Basalt features a more muscular front bumper with a wider radiator grille. Flip door handles, squared-off wheel arches, wraparound LED taillamps and a raised tailboard section akin to a notchback are some further design elements.
