Delhi Gov One Stop Portal To Promote EV
The Delhi government created a dedicated portal on Thursday in order to provide all relevant information about electric vehicles (EVs) in the national capital on a single platform. At the launch event, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said the government’s website contains information on electric vehicle models available in the market, as well as savings and charging facilities. He added that the Delhi government wanted to provide the public with a user-friendly, interactive, and resourceful platform. “This new website will be able to provide all necessary information to potential EV buyers, as well as keep up with sales and daily developing charging infrastructure statistics,” Gahlot stated.
About The Portal
The website also includes information on charging station locations and charger specifications. Delhi currently has 377 charging points in 170 locations, with more on the way. According to a statement released by the transportation department, the website will also give users with real-time updated numbers. The portal also has a ‘EV calculator,’ which estimates the fuel savings of a given EV when compared to its conventional counterpart. “It allows consumers to make an informed decision and determine the cost savings that an EV can provide,” Gahlot said. Aside from the pricing, manufacturer, and range of a certain EV, the portal’s dashboard also provides real-time data on Delhi’s EV ecosystem, such as vehicle sales and uptake. Stakeholders can also provide feedback and grievances using the website’s feedback and complaints section. An auto-generated e-mail will be sent to the consumer as well as the transportation department for complains and requests, according to the statement.
