The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is no longer available for less than $40,000 before taxes and fees. With the destination fee added, the Pro trim level now costs $48,769 as of this writing. Additionally, models using the standard battery will have a longer range as of the new model year.
Ford is raising prices across the board for the 2023 F-150 Lightning lineup. This, according to the automaker, is due to “significant material cost increases and other factors.”
People who previously reserved a spot but haven’t placed an order because they’re awaiting a preferred specification are exempt from paying the higher price. Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer of the Model E division, stated that the price adjustments have no effect on people who are currently waiting for their orders to be delivered. For our reservation holders to be able to make an informed decision about ordering a Lightning, we have announced pricing prior to reopening order banks.

With the standard-range battery, the F-150 Lightning’s estimated range will increase from the previous 230 miles to 240 miles (386 kilometres) (370 kilometers). The reservation holders who get to place their orders on Thursday, August 11, will be the first people to receive the upgraded model. This fall marks the start of these vehicles’ production.
Ford includes heated seats as a standard feature with the base battery to achieve the increased range. A company representative tells Motor1.com, “We were able to reduce the HVAC load on the battery while maintaining passenger comfort.”
Additionally, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist is now available for the 2023 F-150 Lightning. In order to facilitate trailer hookup, the system regulates steering, throttle, and brake inputs. For the Pro, XLT, and Lariat trims, the technology is included in the Tow Technology Package option. The Lariat Extended Range and Platinum grades come standard with it.
There are new colour options for the 2023 F-150 Lightning. Avalanche Gray and Azure Gray metallic tri-coat are the new options. Atlas Blue, Ice Blue Silver, and Smoked Quartz Metallic are no longer available to customers.
Fleets can now get the Ford Pro Special Service Vehicle Package when buying the F-150 Lightning Pro. For the front seats, it substitutes heavy-duty, police-grade cloth for the existing interior upholstery. Additionally, there are integrated steel intrusion plates, and customers have the option of adding roof-mounted LED warning lights.
