Maruti Suzuki sells a ton of products in the international market that are also on sale in India and the Ignis is one of them.

Here’s a video from a foreign media outlet reviewing the (Maruti) Suzuki Ignis. The Ignis is a crossover hatchback that is popular among younger Indian buyers. It aims to provide people with access to an SUV-like product with a stylish exterior at an extremely affordable price. That is Ignis’s appeal in India. These appear to be the same reasons for its popularity in the Mexican market. Let’s take a look at the new Ignis for Mexico.

The overall silhouette is similar to the Indian model on the outside. It has halogen headlamps, integrated turn indicators, a chrome-accented grille, a sporty bumper with a silver skid plate, and fog lights on the bumper. A black element on the bonnet, fender-mounted turn indicators, 15-inch steel wheels, functional roof rails with a capacity of 50 kg, prominent wheel arches, blacked-out A and B pillars, and a tall boy stance are visible on the sides. A split taillamp unit with a sporty bumper is located at the rear.

The cabin is fairly basic on the inside, with a part-digital instrument cluster, manual air conditioning, no touchscreen infotainment system, an all-black interior colour theme, hard plastics on the dashboard, fabric upholstery, storage spaces, no central armrest, a 271-litre boot space, a 60:40 rear seat split, and other features.

Suzuki Ignis Specs

In terms of engine specifications, the Ignis has a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 83 hp and 113 Nm of peak power and torque. There are two transmission options: a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic. It is claimed to have a mileage of up to 20.9 km/l. In India, the Ignis is powered by the same engine. What do you think of the Ignis’ international version?
