Honda India is currently suffering with sales in the nation. We all know the brand is surviving on three models: Elevate, Amaze, and City. To increase sales volume, the Japanese manufacturer had previously committed to launch a new vehicle in the country every year until 2030. Today, we’ll take a look at three new Honda SUVs that will be available in India soon.
Honda Elevate EV
Honda has begun development on Project ACE (Asian Compact Electric), the foundation for all Honda EVs manufactured in India. Speaking of which, the Elevate EV is expected to be the first product based on this initiative. The Elevate EV is believed to be built on the ICE Elevate, with some cosmetic differences. These alterations could feature a slightly altered front grill, blue highlights, a redesigned front grille, and EV badging.

In terms of features, the Elevate EV will be equipped identically to the present ICE variant. However, as an EV, we can expect some EV-specific features such as V2V and V2L charging capabilities. Other potential features that could be added include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and more. This Honda EV could have a 40-50kWh battery pack with a range of 400 kilometers. We expect it to cost around Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), pitting it against the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Honda’s first EV SUV is slated to be released sometime in 2026.
Honda Elevate 7-seater
Honda intends to increase its lineup and offer a choice of cars to meet the needs of its customers. That being said, Honda is developing a 7-seater SUV based on the Elevate. Overall, the new seven-seater will likely be comparable to the Elevate. However, Honda will lengthen the vehicle to fit the third row seats.

The Elevate 7-seater may also include updated LED headlights and slightly larger wheels. The interior may have a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and ventilated seats. The 7-seater is anticipated to be powered by the Elevate’s 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. However, it may get greater power to compensate for the increased weight. The Elevate 7-seater could cost between Rs 15 and Rs 21 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We expect Honda to release this SUV in 2026.
Honda ZR-V
Honda intends to launch a mid-size SUV in India in response to increased demand for SUVs in that segment. The brand has not confirmed the debut date, although it might be released in the second half of 2025. The ZR-V is a nice-looking SUV with good design features and a clean appearance. This mid-size SUV is expected to have a 9-inch touchscreen screen, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, electric front seats, and ADAS.
The ZR-V could have two powertrain options: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-liter petrol eHEV system. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generates 176 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre petrol engine, supplemented by two electric motors, generates 181 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. This SUV is estimated to cost around Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This would be one of the most anticipated of the three new Honda SUVs.
