Hyundai August 2023 Sales Reaches 53,830 Unit

Hyundai, a South Korean carmaker, has published its August 2023 sales figures. The brand sold a total of 71,435 units, with 53,830 units sold in the domestic market and 17,605 units exported. When compared to the same period last year, domestic car sales increased by 8.7 percent year on year.

In other developments, Hyundai India just released the Venue Knight Edition in the country, with a starting price of Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). This unique version of the SUV, which is available in three configurations with two powertrain options, distinguishes itself from the standard variant by having a completely blacked-out exterior and interior with brass-colored inlays.

Hyundai August 2023 Exports

In August 2023, the brand exported 17,605 units globally. This represents outstanding development since it represents a 38.62 percent increase over August 2022, when it shipped 12,700 units. When domestic and foreign sales are combined, Hyundai’s total cumulative sales in August 2023 will be 71,435 units. This represents a 14.82 percent increase over the same period the prior year.

Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., commented on the August 2023 sales figures, saying, “HMIL’s August 2023 sales number (domestic plus exports) of 71,435 units is a key indicator of an ever-growing acceptance of our products in both domestic and export markets.” The festival season in India has begun on a promising note, with robust Onam sales in the Kerala market, indicating the festive fervor in other areas of the country in the coming months. SUV demand in our portfolio remains strong, accounting for more than 60% of our domestic sales in August. The Exter continues to entice clients, with HMIL already receiving over 65,000 bookings.”

The Creta and Alcazar Adventure Edition models were just launched by the firm. The former is only available in petrol variants and has a starting price of Rs 15.17 lakh, whereas the latter is available in both petrol and diesel variants and has a starting price of Rs 19.04 lakh.
