Hyundai Creta SE Variants Launch Soon

Hyundai is preparing to offer several new Creta SUV models. This information comes from homologation documents that have appeared on the internet, indicating that Hyundai would shortly release new ‘SE’ variations of the vehicle. While not proven, SE most likely refers for’special edition’, which could refer to a series of limited edition models. According to the documents, there will be four SE models available with both gasoline and diesel engines.

According to the homologation documentation, the SE versions will be based on the trims S(O) and SX(O). The new variations will most likely have cosmetic tweaks, such as blacked-out style cues and a few other subtle differences to set them apart from the rest of the lineup. The new variations may also have a variety of new features.

The SE models will be available with the 1.5-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque, and the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The petrol engine will be paired with a CVT, the diesel with a torque converter, and both engines with a 6-speed manual transmission.
