Hyundai India Again Becomes The Second Bestseller This January

Tata Motors outsold Hyundai by 1,214 units in December 2022 to take second place in India’s automobile sales. Hyundai India has restored its lost place and will be ranked second in January 2023. Hyundai, a South Korean carmaker, increased its unit sales by 14% to 50,106 in January 2022, compared to 44,022 in January 2022. According to the firm, Creta, Venue, Tucson, Alcazar, and Kona Electric have sold a total of 27,532 units, accounting for 55% of total sales.

Tata Motors has dropped to third place with 47,990 unit sales last month, compared to 40,780 unit sales in January 2022, representing an 18% increase. Tata’s sales have been boosted by both the ICE and electrified model lines. The planned CNG and EV lineups will help the manufacturer increase sales in India.

Hyundai and Tata Motors’ diverse product offerings are popular among Indian automobile customers, and rivalry is set to heat up in the coming months.
