The new Kia Carens 3-row MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) was just announced, and it is expected to hit the market in March 2022. The new model’s bookings have already begun. It will be available in six and seven seat configurations.
The Hyundai Alcazar and the new Kia Carens use the same platform. The new 3-row MPV measures 4,540mm long, 1,800mm wide, 1,700mm tall, and has a 2,780mm wheelbase. It features a 195mm ground clearance. The Carns has a 30mm longer wheelbase than the Toyota Innova. The Kia Carens MPV will come with a number of segment-first and segment-leading features, giving it a competitive advantage.

The 1.5L petrol (115bhp/144Nm), 1.4L turbo petrol (140bhp/242Nm), and 1.5L diesel (115bhp/250Nm) engines will be available in the Kia Carens. There will be manual and automatic transmission options available. The new model will compete with the Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, and Toyota Innova Crysta entry-level models. In fact, it may have an impact on Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus sales.
