Kia EV9 Specifications And Features Revealed: Range Of 561 kms

Kia India has officially revealed the details of the soon-to-be-launched EV9 ahead of its price announcement that will take place on October 3. The EV9 will be a new electric flagship from the Korean carmaker and will take a CBU route to our shores. Having won the World Car of the Year award (WCOTY), the EV9 will be available in India in one fully loaded trim. 

Kia EV9: Specifications

According to specifications, the EV9 in India has an AWD layout thanks to a 99.8kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors positioned on each axle. The two motors have a total output of at 383 horsepower and an astounding 700 Nm. The full-size SUV can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.3 seconds. Regarding range, the ARAI stated 561 km, which is much the same as the WLTP estimates. Additionally, it has DC quick charging capabilities, which can recharge it from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

The EV9 is a full-size SUV with the following dimensions: it is 5015 mm long, 1980 mm wide, 1780 mm high, and 3100 mm wheelbase. When all seats are in place, the EV9’s boot capacity is 333 liters; when the third row is folded down, that capacity rises to 828 liters. Additionally, there is 52 liters of usable frunk space. It is built on the same E-GMP (Electric Global Modular basis) basis as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60.

Kia EV9: Exterior

The India-spec EV9 comes with five color options: aurora black, pebble grey, ocean blue, snow white pearl, and panthera metal. There is only one wheel option available. Its usual dimensions are 20 inches, and its aerodynamic triangle form. In addition, it has glossy black finishes, digital headlights and tail lamps, flat door handles, a disguised back wiper, and a rear spoiler located on the roof.

Kia EV9 Interior and Features

The India-spec EV9 will only be available with six seats, therefore the second row will have individual captain chairs. There are two themes for the cabins: brown and black or white and black. Additionally, it will have dual sunroofs, leatherette upholstery, suede headliner, an illuminated steering wheel logo, a floating center console, 64-color ambient lighting, electric steering column adjustment, and electric front seats (with driver memory). Additionally, there is a one-touch fold, a winged headrest, and a ventilation and massaging feature for the second row. Additionally, a 50:50 split fold and reclining feature is added to the third row. It has a motorized tailgate as well, fitting for a huge SUV.

A 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, three-zone climate control, a head-up display, a wireless charger with cooling, OTA updates and Kia Connect, a digital key, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, and V2L support are among the additional features.
