– Kia Seltos remains the highest sales contributor
– Kia EV6 forays into India’s EV segment
Kia India has announced that it has crossed the 5 lakh sales mark. In less than three years, Kia has reached this milestone. Overall, 6,34,224 cars were shipped out of Kia India’s production facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The Kia Seltos continues to contribute the most to overall sales, accounting for 59% of all sales. While the Kia Carens, which was recently added, contributed 6.5% to sales, the Sonet accounted for 32%.

Myung-Sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, commented on the accomplishment, saying, “In just three short years in India, we have not only established ourselves as the trend-setting and inspirational brand, but we have also pioneered the adoption of new technology. Besides this, Kia India launched its first electric vehicle, the Kia EV6 in the country at a starting price of Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV6 is powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack and is offered in RWD and AWD drivetrain options.
