Mahindra & Mahindra has been evaluating the 5-door Thar in India for quite some time. We have observed numerous test mules during its testing period that have exposed intriguing interior and design details. The most recent batch of spy photos indicates that the SUV has entered its final phase of testing, and the recently spotted model appears to be nearing production. When it is released, the Mahindra Thar 5-door will face off against the May 2023-released Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
The automaker hasn’t yet disclosed the specifics of its debut and rollout. However, it’s anticipated that the 5-door Thar will debut in the second half of 2023. Its market debut could take place at the close of this year or early in the following year. The longer variant of the Thar will be a more useful choice for buyers in cities thanks to its rugged styling, 5- or 7-seat layout, and off-road capabilities. The Vehicle is anticipated to start at around Rs 15 lakh.
