On July 20, 2022, Maruti Suzuki will host the global debut of the Grand Vitara Hybrid SUV in the domestic market. The midsize SUV has already been teased several times, providing us with a sneak peek at its design, interior, and features. When it arrives, it will replace the S-Cross as the flagship Maruti Suzuki SUV.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid Price
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid SUV will most likely be built on the updated Global C platform and will be extremely safe. The Grand Vitara Hybrid SUV will be positioned above the Brezza compact SUV in the lineup, and the base variant could start at Rs. 9.35 lakh. The most expensive variant could cost up to Rs. 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The five-seater will be around 4.3 meters long overall, and it may share the wheelbase with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. In fact, the Grand Vitara will share many mechanical and powertrain components with the Hyryder. The latter will be available first next month, followed by the Grand Vitara.
2023 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid Rivals
The Grand Vitara Hybrid SUV will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Nissan Kicks, and others. It will have a distinct advantage over most of its competitors in that it will be available in a wide range of mild-hybrid and strong hybrid powertrains. In addition, the upcoming SUV will include a 4WD system.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Engine & Powertrain
The Grand Vitara’s starting price is expected to be slightly lower than that of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15C DualJet petrol engine found in the facelifted Ertiga, XL6, and new Brezza will power the mild-hybrid system. It will have a maximum power output of around 103 PS and a peak torque of 136 Nm.
It will be paired with a five-speed manual or a torque converter AT with paddle shifters. Toyota’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder TNGA Atkinson Cycle-based strong hybrid system will allow for a dedicated EV-only mode, resulting in high fuel efficiency. The engine will be coupled with an e-CVT.
