Nico Rosberg Takes Delivery Of First Production Rimac Nevara

Nico Rosberg is receiving the first Rimac Nevera built to manufacturing specifications. While hanging out with business president Mate Rimac at the automaker’s headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia, he documents the entire interaction.

Before receiving his Nevera, Rosberg and Rimac take a tour of the room that houses the company’s model prototypes. There is a Bugatti Chiron at the end of the line, and the two begin talking about Bugatti’s upcoming model. Rimac divulges some fascinating insights.

He begins by pointing to the Chiron and stating that it is one of the final models to have a W16 engine. “It’s going in the other direction everyone probably expects,” Rimac remarks after Rosberg exerts a little pressure. Last but not least, Rosberg drops a hint that he’s also getting a V6-powered AMG One and says, “Let’s just leave it at that.”

We are already aware that the Chiron’s replacement has a predominantly electric drivetrain. If you consider all of the claims in this movie, it appears that the hypercar may have a lot fewer cylinders than the present W16.

The Nevera has 14 cameras. Rimac explains that this is to benefit people taking the hypercar on the track. Drivers can download the footage and overlay the vehicle’s telemetry onto the video.

Rosberg promises a future video where he and Rimac take a drive together in the Nevera. We can’t wait to see what the former Formula One driver thinks of the 1,914 horsepower (1,408 kilowatts) machine.
