Nissan India has released the redesigned Magnite at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh, over four years after the debut of the sub-compact SUV. Nissan has decided to maintain the price of the entry-level versions while making a number of design changes and adding more features to its most affordable model. However, the special discounts are only available to the first 10,000 customers who take possession of the Magnite facelift. The manual Magnite facelift costs between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 9.10 lakh, the 1.0-litre AMT variants between Rs 6.60 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol manual models between Rs 9.19 lakh and Rs 10.35 lakh, and the 9.79 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh manual versions.
Nissan Magnite Design
The Magnite’s design hasn’t changed, but it has undergone a facelift. The front bumper now has silver fang-like styling elements, and the updated grille is connected to the base of the LED projector headlight clusters. The daytime running lights are still the same. Along with new dual-tone alloy wheels, the Magnite facelift has almost no modifications to its tail. Along with the Magnite facelift, a new exterior color choice called Sunrise Orange Copper will be offered.
Nissan Magnite Interior
The interior of the subcompact SUV has been given a makeover with leatherette applied to key contact areas and a multi-tone color scheme called Magnite. A chilled glove box, four-color ambient lighting, frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, Type-C USB charging outlets in the back, and an air filtration system are among the new features. Most notably, all passengers will have a seat belt reminder system and six airbags as standard equipment with the Magnite makeover. The I-Key, which also comes with auto-lock and auto-unlock features, is new and allows for remote engine starting.
Nissan Magnite Powertrain
The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine in the Magnite facelift is available with both normally aspirated and turbocharged options. This powertrain is identical to the one in the outgoing model. The turbocharged version of the engine generates 99 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque, while the naturally aspirated engine makes 71 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque. For the naturally aspirated engine, there is an automated manual transmission (CVT automatic), and for the turbocharged engine, there is a five-speed manual.
More than 1.5 lakh people have purchased the Magnite in the three and a half years since its launch. Nissan will start exporting the updated Magnite to more than 45 left-hand drive markets in the future, bringing the total number of markets to more than 65.
