Tata Curvv and Curvv EV Dark Edition launched in India.

After teasing it several times in recent days, Tata Motors has officially introduced the Dark Edition variants of the Curvv and Curvv EV in India. The Dark Edition variations of the Curvv ICE are available in the Accomplished S and Accomplished + A trim levels, with prices ranging from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 19.52 lakh. The Curvv EV Dark Edition, on the other hand, is only available in the Empowered+ A 55 model and costs Rs 22.24 lakh. (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.) The main difference between the Curvv Dark Edition models and the standard variants is an entirely new color scheme, as well as a few minor visual features.

Features

The Dark Edition models are painted in Carbon Black, a new color choice for the coupe-SUV. This is the first time the Curvv and Curvv EV are available in a black colour scheme. The variations also have ‘Dark’ badges on the front fenders. Furthermore, the Dark Edition variations feature an all-black interior, complete with black leatherette upholstery with ‘Dark’ crests on the headrests and a black dashboard. They also get a rear sunshade, which is distinctive to this series.

Powertrain

The Curvv ICE Dark Edition’s powertrain options are the 1.2-litre ‘Hyperion’ turbo-petrol, gasoline direct injection engine or the 1.5-litre Kryojet turbo-diesel mill. The former generates 124 horsepower and 225 Nm, whereas the latter produces 116 bhp and 260 Nm. Both models are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA) transmission.

Meanwhile, the Curvv EV Dark Edition features a 55 kWh battery pack that drives an electric engine with 165 horsepower and 215 Nm of peak torque. The battery has a claimed range of 502 km.
