Tata Nexon EV Get Driving Range of 453KM in One Charging
Tata Motors has released firmware for the Tata Nexon EV Max. The electric SUV, which had a stated electric range of 437km, will now have a driving range of 453km starting on January 25. Starting on February 15, 2023, this update will be applied through a software upgrade across all Tata-authorized dealerships for all existing customers.
Furthermore, the Tata Nexon EV lineup now includes a new basic XM model. The XM versions are fitted with enhanced safety measures and connected car capabilities and start at Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for Prime and Max variants, respectively.
The Tata Nexon EV Max sits above the Nexon EV Prime, which uses a 40.5kWh battery pack to power the electric motors, which create 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. The electric SUV also features four re-gen settings and is compatible with a 3.3kW wall box and a 7.2kW AC charger. The Nexon Max competes with vehicles such as the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Mahindra XUV400.
Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales, and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., commented on the Nexon EV portfolio reshuffle, saying, “India’s #1 EV, Nexon EV, has finished its third successful year. Over 40,000 customers love and trust it, and it has travelled over 600 million kilometres. We are dedicated to make sustainable mobility available to everyone on this occasion, and this repositioning is a significant step in that regard. Our clever innovation and government incentives have enabled us to achieve this disruption while retaining the high level of quality and service that our customers have come to expect from us.’
