1. 2011 – Hennessey Venom GT

With a 7.0 litre twin-turbo LS7 V8 engine powering it, this beast generates power of 1244 HP and 1566 Nm of torque. It is based on a Lotus Elise/Exige. Both its bodywork and wheels are made from carbon fibre. It was produced between 2011 and 2017. Its successor is the Hennessey Venom F5.

2. 2012 – Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

If Bugatti doesn’t remind you of being powerful, then we don’t know what does. This Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is a Targa top version of the Veyron Super Sport. It has a maximum power output of 1184 bhp and maximum torque of 1500 Nm. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.6 seconds.

3. 2013 – Ferrari LaFerrari

Meaning ‘The Ferrari’ in Italian, LaFerrari is the last Ferrari that comes with a mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine. It is a limited production hybrid sports car that has 950 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Its top speed is 350 kmph and it can hit 100 kmph in under 3 seconds. It is a successor to the iconic Ferrari Enzo.

4. 2014 – Koenigsegg One:1

This powerful beast from Koenigsegg gets its name from its power-to-weight ratio. The 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine generates 1341 HP and 1371 Nm of torque. The car also gets a 7-speed dual-clutch paddle. However, only six cars exist and all have been sold.

5. 2015 – Koenigsegg Regera

The founder of Koenigsegg got impressed with a Tesla Model S P85+ because of its ability of instant power delivery without downshifting/ turbo lag. This made him put forward an idea of a Hybrid hypercar from Koenigsegg i.e. the Regera. The car makes 1797 HP and 2000 Nm of torque via its hybrid powertrain. It can hit 100 kmph from a standstill in 2.8 seconds.

6. 2016 – Bugatti Chiron

If you are planning a successor to the car that set many speed records, you have to build a car that’s powerful enough to hold more records. The Bugatti Chiron is not only a worthy successor to the Veyron but has several records in its own name too. The power output of this car is whopping 1479 HP and the torque development is 1600 Nm. Its speed is limited electronically to 420 kmph.

7. 2017 – Dodge Challenger Demon

The extreme performance variant of the High-performance Challenger SRT Hellcat is the ‘Demon’. It uses a 6.2-litre V8 engine generating 840 HP and 1044 Nm of Torque. The Demon is also the first production car to contain a set of drag radial road tires. It can accelerate 0 to 100 kmph in 2.3 seconds.

8. 2018 – Zenvo TSR-S

The Zenvo TSR-S is the road-legal version of the track-focused Zenovo TSR. It gets 1177 HP from its 5.8-litre twin-supercharged V8 engine. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds. The top speed is 325 kmph.

9. 2019 – Drako GTE

The Drako GTE is an all-electric, quad motor, full-size four-door sports sedan. It gets power from its four permanent-magnet hybrid synchronous electric motors. With its 1200 HP power output and 8800 Nm torque, it can reach 100 kmph from standstill in less than 3 seconds. Its claimed top speed is 206 kmph.

10. 2020 – Aspark OWL

This latest, odd-looking powerful car is from a new Japanese manufacturer, Aspark. It is also an all-electric sports car. Its batteries give a combined power output of 1984 HP and generate a torque of 2000 Nm. It is claimed that the OWL can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 1.9 seconds. Its top speed is 400 kmph.
