A brand-new motorcycle from a homegrown manufacturer, the TVS Ronin, has been launched with a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is offered in single-tone, dual-tone, and triple-tone trims.
TVS Ronin 225 Scrambler Engine And Transmission
The 225.9cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that powers the TVS Ronin has a maximum output of 19.9Nm and 20bhp. The engine has been modified to deliver a flat torque curve and a tonne of mid-and low-range power. As a result, according to TVS, riders won’t need to shift as frequently. A 5-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch is included with the engine.

The three trims vary in terms of the ABS configuration in addition to colour. Single-channel ABS is provided for the base and middle trims, while dual-channel ABS is provided for the top trim. Additionally, this bike has two ABS modes: Urban and Rain. Every model has a front disc brake measuring 300mm and a rear disc of 240mm. Additionally, you receive 9-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres on both ends. The block-patterned tyres were created especially for Ronin.

The single-pod, digital instrument cluster includes connection capabilities and even supports voice commands. Additionally, the TVS Ronin has a high 181mm ground clearance and a 795mm seat height. A slim LED taillight can be seen in the back, while the front has a round LED headlamp. Additionally, it has stylish LED turn indicators that match the rest of the bike.
Further explaining, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company, said that the world of motorcycle riding is evolving. To enable self-expression, independence, and the desire to explore, rather than just serve a practical purpose, he stated.
He said that the TVS Ronin will create a brand-new category focused on a new way of living free of outdated norms, preconceptions, and legacy baggage. According to Sumbly, this leads to an increase in personalisation and premiumization in the two-wheeler market.
