Upcoming Yamaha Bike Launches In India In 2024

Yamaha is the only Japanese manufacturer that hasn’t imported any of their high-capacity bikes to India. With the release of the Yamaha MT-03 and R3, it appears that the brand is attempting to make a difference. So we have made a list of all the upcoming Yamaha bike in India, let’s dive into it.

Yamaha plans to enter the premium middle-weight motorcycle sector in India in 2024 with the introduction of the Yamaha R7, MT-07, and MT-09. This was revealed at a dealership event.

The Yamaha MT-07 is a streetfighter, whereas the Yamaha R7 is a supersport. Both bikes are powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled, in-line twin engine that produces 73.4PS at 8750rpm and 67Nm at 6500rpm. The MT-07 is projected to cost between Rs 8 and 9 lakh and will compete with the Kawasaki Z650, Honda CB650R, and Triumph Trident 660.

Yamaha R7

The all-new 2024 Yamaha R7 Super Sport

The Yamaha R7, the faired sister of the MT-07, is expected to cost around Rs 9-10 lakh and will compete against the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and the new Triumph Daytona 660.

Yamaha MT-09

Yamaha MT-09 price in India

The MT-09 is one of Yamaha’s most powerful bikes, with a 998cc liquid-cooled In-line 4 engine producing 165.9PS at 11500rpm and 112Nm at 9000rpm. It will most likely cost Rs 13 lakh. It will compete against the Ducati Monster, the Kawasaki Z900, the Triumph Street Triple RS, and the BMW F 900 R.

It’s fantastic for us as aficionados to see Yamaha re-enter the big bike segment. After all, it was the first litre-class motorcycle to be officially released in India in 2009. Years later, it brought the insane Yamaha V-Max and the wild Yamaha MT-09. Don’t you believe Triumph, Honda, and Kawasaki have a lot to worry about?
