Volkswagen has officially presented the ID. Every1 concept, following a series of teasers in recent weeks. The Every1 concept, based on the German automaker’s modular electric drive (MEB) platform, previews a production-spec EV set to launch in 2027. Volkswagen plans to offer nine new all-electric vehicles by 2027. When it goes on sale, the model will be the most cheap EV in Volkswagen’s global all-electric passenger vehicle lineup, with a price tag of €20,000 (about Rs 19 lakh).

In terms of aesthetics, the ID.Every1 idea differs significantly from the carmaker’s current EV offering. The concept’s front end features typical rectangular headlamps combined with a sash black piece in place of a grille. Vertical fog lamps lie behind the headlights, against a squared-off front bumper, alongside a black element. In profile, the concept car has a boxy shape with a tall glasshouse and a virtually flat roofline, as well as short rear overhangs and flared wheel arches. The EV’s rear tail lamps extend to the sides and are separated by a contrast black finish.

The hatchback features a basic interior layout, similar to the rest of Volkswagen’s all-electric portfolio. Despite its low price, the EV’s dashboard is distinguished by a huge freestanding touchscreen display. The upper half of the dashboard is finished in contrast black, and the driver’s end has a digital driver’s display.
