Zakir Khan, a popular stand-up comedian, recently brought home a rugged and luxurious Range Rover Velar. Zakir is now a seasoned comic who has delivered numerous specials on OTT platforms. He is also well-known for his poetry. Being one of India’s most successful comics, it’s no surprise that he now lives a lavish lifestyle. As part of that, he recently purchased the ultra-luxurious Range Rover Velar and posted a photo of it on Instagram. Here are the details.
The image has been shared in collaboration between zeeshan_malang and zakirkhan_208 on Instagram. Zeeshan is the brother of Zakir and the caption reads, “New beast in the house !!!!!! Congratulations @zakirkhan_208 bhai .. Chalane wala to me hi hu … So congratulations to myself .. Aur yaar chapal me kon Range Rover lene jata hai.” He is referring to Zakhir who went to buy the Range Rover in his slippers. This represents his modesty as vouched by many fellow comics and other artists that he has worked with. His humility is also what attracts a lot of his fans.
The Range Rover Velar is a standard SUV from Tata’s British luxury carmaker. The front design is heavily influenced by Range Rover’s most recent design language. There is a massive front grille flanked by LED headlamps with rectangular LED DRLs integrated into the headlamp cluster, a striking bold fog lamp housing, a rugged skid plate underneath the front bumper and a dual-tone black roof accentuating the sportiness even more.
The Velar is powered by two engines: a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel with mild-hybrid technology. The former generates a respectable 246 hp and 365 Nm of torque, while the diesel powertrain generates 273 hp and 430 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. On-road prices for both trims of this luxury SUV exceed Rs 1.05 crore.
