In India, KTM released the 790 Duke in limited quantities in 2019, followed by the global launch of the 890 Duke R a year later, and the ordinary 890 Duke last year.
KTM plans to release an improved 890 Duke R as well as a new 890 Duke GP in 2022.
The Duke 890 R will have a new colorway and will be a sharper version of the Duke 890 Duke, which the firm has dubbed the Super Scalpel. To recap, the 890 Duke R is powered by a 890cc parallel-twin engine that produces 121hp and 99Nm. Following the 890R debut, KTM will unveil the Grand Prix-inspired 890 GP on February 22. While a GP version of a naked motorbike may sound unusual to some, the RC 8C programme is gathering pace, and it’s feasible that some of the components from that bike will end up on the 890 GP.
