Eishin Chihana has been named the new Chairman of Yamaha Motor India, succeeding Motofumi Shitara, who has served as the company’s CEO since 2018. Since 1991, Eishin Chihana has been a part of the Yamaha Group. He has experience in a variety of areas, including sales, marketing, and business management, with a particular focus on motorcycle operations in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and ASEAN. Chihana has managed international sales for Yamaha motorbikes, ATVs, marine engines, personal watercraft, and generators, among other products.

Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, stated of his new post, “I’m ecstatic to be taking the helm of Yamaha Motor in the world’s largest two-wheeler market. India is a varied country with a large market and enormous possibilities. Yamaha’s leading technical developments and engineering abilities also allow us to reach the market by satisfying their developing expectations, as the bulk of its population is made up of youngsters.
