2. MG ZS EV: ₹20.99 Lakhs
The ZS EV, MG’s only electric vehicle in the nation, had a minor upgrade in 2021 and currently competes with the Hyundai Kona in terms of performance specs. The automobile now has a 44-kWh battery that produces 142 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque. The vehicle has a range of 419 kilometres per charge. The ZS EV can be fully charged in 17 to 18 hours using a standard 15-amp wall outlet, but it can also be fast charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes, albeit this can currently only be done at an MG dealership using their fast-charging facility.
3. Tata Nexon EV: ₹13.99 Lakhs
The Nexon EV is now the best-selling electric four-wheeler in India, despite not being a direct competition in terms of cost and performance to the first two EVs. The Nexon is powered by an electric motor with a 127 horsepower and 245 Nm torque output and a 30.2 kWh battery that enables a range of 312 km per charge. Using a conventional 15-ampere wall connection, the battery may be charged up to 80% in eight hours, or in just an hour if the DC rapid charging option is used.
4. Tata Tigor EV: ₹11.99 Lakhs
This is the most recent addition to our market’s EVs. The Tigor Ziptron is a tiny sedan, unlike the other automobiles on this list. This vehicle is fitted with a 26 kWh battery that gives a range of 306 kilometres per charge and drives an electric motor with a power output of 74 horsepower and torque of 170 Nm. Using a 15-ampere wall adapter, the automobile takes eight and a half hours to charge to 80 percent; however, if a DC fast charger is used, it charges to 80 percent in an hour.
