Audi Q7 Booking Open
The prices of the Audi Q7 facelift will be revealed later this month. Audi India outlets are already taking reservations for the redesigned SUV. The booking fee is set at Rs 5 lakh. In India, the Q7 will be available in two trim levels: Premium Plus and Technology. With the upcoming facelift, the Q7 will get a number of visual and feature improvements, as well as a transition to a petrol-only powerplant. The SUV is being delivered to India as a CKD (completely knocked down) vehicle, with local assembly beginning on December 10 at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s Aurangabad facility. After being discontinued in the run-up to the BS6 emission standard, the full-size luxury SUV will be reintroduced to Audi India’s showrooms.
Engine And Transmission
The previous Q7 had a 252hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 249hp 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine (45 TDI) (40 TFSI). The SUV is believed to be powered by a 340hp, 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol unit (55 TFSI) from the Q8 and A8 L this time around. Quattro all-wheel drive will be standard, as will an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The previous Q7 came with adaptive air suspension as standard equipment, but we’ll have to wait and see if Audi keeps the arrangement for the facelift.
Features And Updates
In June 2019, the facelifted Q7 made its global premiere. While it retains the slim and athletic character of the second-generation model, which was introduced in India in 2015, it also has a number of important improvements. It has a bigger, octagonal single-frame grille in the front, flanked by redesigned headlights with a Daytime Running Lamp trademark. The taillights have also been modified, and there’s a chrome strip that runs the length of the hatch. The new style is completed with redesigned front and back bumpers, as well as new alloy wheel designs. The overall length has increased by 11mm to 5,063mm.
