Honda CB300R Launched In India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has upgraded its naked roadster, the 2022 Honda CB300R, in India for Rs. 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), with a BS6 compliant engine, minor cosmetic tweaks, and an expanded feature list. Showcased at the India Bike Week 2021, the new built in India, 2022 Honda CB300R will be retailed through the brand’s premium BigWing dealership network. Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red are the two colour options for the updated Honda CB300R. The Honda CB300R was once made in India, but it is now manufactured in the United States.

The 2022 Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc DOHC 4-valve liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI technology that complies with BS6. It has an Assist & Slipper clutch, which provides an assist function for clutch movements that require less load than a standard clutch mechanism, and a slipper function that decreases shocks generated by rapid engine stopping during downshifts. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Design Updates

The appearance of the 2022 Honda CB300R hasn’t altered much from the previous model, but it now sports a black headlight bezel, golden-colored upside-down front forks, and a darker radiator cowl. Dual-channel ABS modulates the 4-pot radial-mounted callipers with 296mm hub-less floating discs for the front brakes and 220mm disc brakes for the rear brakes. This results in uniform front to rear ABS braking, optimum body weight distribution, and less rear lift due to rapid braking.
