Jeep Brings All New Seven Concepts To The 2022 Easter Safari

Jeep Brings New Concepts To 2022 Easter Safari

For the 2022 Jeep Easter Safari, Jeep unveiled seven new ideas, including the company’s second all-electric Wrangler concept in two years. Five Jeep vehicles and two Jeep Performance Parts accessorised ideas made up the seven concepts. Last year’s Jeep Magneto idea was replaced by the Magneto 2.0, a more powerful Wrangler EV, while Jeep also experimented with the car’s length and wheelbase for several of the concepts. Let’s take a closer look.

The Rubicon moniker was originally used on the Jeep Wrangler in 2003, and the 2023 model will be the 20th anniversary model. The Rubicon is one of the more conservative designs here, with a grey paint job, a 2-inch raise from Jeep Performance Parts, and 17-inch Mopar wheels. A new exhaust, unique hood scoop, and a motorised folding soft-top are among the other upgrades. The Rubicon 392’s Hemi V8 is used to power the idea.

2. Jeep Birdcage from Jeep Performance Parts

3. Jeep ’41 concept

The 41 idea pays homage to the original Willys jeep from WWII. The idea, which is based on the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, is painted in a military green colour scheme, including the 17-inch wheels, and features a cloth canopy and powder-coated bumpers. There’s also a winch in the front in case you get stuck. This design is also equipped with a minor lift kit and 35-inch mud-terrain tyres. As a nod to the original, the seats are also covered in canvas.

4. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk PHEV concept

The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is a more conservative idea with a unique roof rack, bespoke fog light bezels, 20-inch grey polished wheels, and 33-inch mud-terrain tyres. A detaching front sway-bar (improves wheel articulation) is also included in the kit for improved off-road capability. However, Jeep hasn’t made any changes to the PHEV powertrain.

5. Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 concept

The Magneto 2.0 is not just more powerful but also longer than the Magneto idea from the 2021 Safari. The conventional two-door Wrangler’s wheelbase was lengthened, and it was fitted with a raise kit and 20-inch wheels encased in gigantic 40-inch tyres. Custom bumpers, carbon-fibre fender flares, a noticeable bonnet bulge, and blue aesthetic elements such as the body graphics, tow hooks, and seat centre upholstery are among the other visual alterations. Power and torque are boosted significantly from the Magneto from 2021, going from 285 horsepower and 370 Nm to 625 bhp and 1,152 Nm. There’s also a manual transmission to distribute power to all four wheels!

The D-Coder is a beefed-up Gladiator, whereas the Birdcage featured an accessorised Wrangler. From the front bumpers to the wheels, snorkel, and even the tubular doors, Jeep went all out with the red accessories. According to Jeep, the D-Coder comes with 35 aftermarket components and each wears a QR code for fast access to information.

7. Jeep Bob concept

Yes, Jeep refers to the idea as Bob, and it’s not a typo! The Bob idea is based on the Gladiator and has a reduced bed, unique bumpers, significantly flared wheel arches, no doors, and a spare wheel installed in the cargo bed. Jeep’s iconic 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine is under the hood, and it’s been improved with a new Mopar air intake. New Dynatrac Pro-Rock 60 axles, updated springs and dampers, a raise kit, and 20-inch wheels with 40-inch tyres are among the other changes.
