Mahindra has opened Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E), a new design centre of excellence in the UK where it will develop its electric vehicle (EV) products for international markets. The goal of M.A.D.E, which was established with the intention of creating all future Mahindra EVs and cutting-edge vehicle design concepts, is to be a part of the Mahindra Global Design Network, which also includes the Mahindra India Design Studio in Mumbai.
Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, and Ranil Jayawardena, the minister of international trade for the UK, opened the design studio. It is situated in Banbury, Oxfordshire, which is known for its elite academic and research institutions and as the world’s automotive and electric vehicle hub.

Modern design tools enable M.A.D.E to handle end-to-end design tasks like conceptualization, 3D digital and physical modelling, Class-A surfacing, digital visualisation, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design. Additionally, it has a full digital visualisation suite, a clay modelling studio, a VR modelling area, and both digital and physical presentation spaces.
Cosimo Amadei, a veteran of award-winning automotive design, is the head of the 30-person design studio. Three of the five e-SUVs that will be displayed as part of Mahindra’s Born Electric launch have been developed with assistance from M.A.D.E. Another crucial node in our neural network of innovation is Mahindra Advanced Design Europe. Their work has already established the framework for an electrifying future in just 15 short months, according to Anand Mahindra.
Mahindra recently signed an agreement with British International Investment in an effort to increase investment to manufacture its upcoming electric cars for India. The automaker will get ₹1,925 crore investment from the British firm to help finance the production of Mahindra Electric’s upcoming EVs under the Born Electric brand.
