Maruti Car Sales August 2022 | Maruti August 2022 Sale

In comparison to the same period last year, when 1,03,187 units were sold, 1,34,166 units were sold in August 2022, according to data released today by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL). This represents a YoY volume increase of 30%. The biggest automaker in the nation claims that the lack of electronic parts had a negligible effect on the production of its vehicles, which were produced primarily for the domestic market.

The total number of units sold domestically was 1,43,692; of these, 1,34,166 were passenger cars, 3,371 were light commercial vehicles, and 6,155 were sold to other OEMs. The Indo-Japanese brand’s total exports last month increased by 862 units to 21,481 units from 20,619 units during the same period last year.

In total, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,65,173 units in the month of August 2022, which includes 1,37,537 units sold domestically, 6,155 units sold to other OEMs, and 21,481 units exported. With a volume growth of 8.31% year over year, the Alto and S-Presso posted a combined total of 22,162 units compared to 20,461 units.

In comparison to the previous month, when 45,577 units were sold, the combined sales of the Baleno, Celerio, Ignis, Dzire, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR increased by 57% year over year to 71,557 units. With a YoY volume growth that was negative by 29.35%, the Ciaz midsize sedan managed a total of 1,516 units versus 2,146 units. There were 26,932 units in the UV range, which includes the Brezza, Ertiga, and XL6.

As a result, 24,337 units were sold, which represents a 10.66% YoY increase in sales. With a YoY increase of 12.49 percent, the Eeco brought in 11,999 units compared to 10,666 units. This year, Maruti Suzuki has launched a lot of new products, most recently the second-generation Brezza compact SUV.

The brand’s upcoming midsize SUV, the Grand Vitara, which will debut this month, shares many similarities with the soon-to-debut Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Early in 2023, Maruti Suzuki will probably reveal the Baleno Cross, internally known as YTB, before it goes on sale. The Jimny lifestyle off-road SUV is also scheduled to debut the following year.
