Bugatti La Voiture Noire – World’s Most Expensive Cars At Drag Strip

With a price tag of €11 million (approximately $13.4 million at the time), the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was the most expensive new car when it was released in 2019 – until it was dethroned by the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail in 2021.

Apart from being reserved for the world’s one percent, these expensive supercars have one thing in common: you’ll rarely see them out in the open, especially on a drag strip. However, the Bugatti was spotted in one, courtesy of Shmee150. According to Tim, the above event is called the Supercar Owners Circle, and it recently completed a tour in Croatia. While not a drag strip, these supercars made a pass on a narrow, closed section of road. The Bugatti La Voiture Noire, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, the Pagani Huayra R, and Tim’s own Zenvo TSR-S are among those who attended the event.

There is only one Bugatti La Voiture Noire in the world, and it is here to delight the eyes of mere mortals. The time-stamped video above represents the first run, but there are two more as you progress through the video. It’s worth noting that the Swiss flag on the licence plate confirms the rumour that the one-off hypercar was registered in Switzerland.

The majority of the runs on the “drag strip” were solo runs, but there is one matchup in Shmee’s 29-minute video. Around the 18-minute mark, there was a drag race between a Bugatti Chiron and a Rimac Nevera.

Due to the lack of timers and footage at the end of the line, it’s unclear who won this shootout, though the electric hypercar appears to have won. Mate Rimac, CEO of the newly formed Bugatti-Rimac, was unquestionably the winner.
