Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 Edition in the domestic market, as we exclusively reported a few days ago. The Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 Edition, which was launched today for Rs. 1,29,738 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), aims to capitalise on the positive buying sentiments that typically exist during the festive season.
Aside from cosmetic changes, the equipment list has been updated to make the entry-level naked streetfighter more appealing. It continues to compete in India’s highly competitive market against the Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, and others.
The Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 Edition is one of eight new launches planned by the brand to gain market share this holiday season. The motorcycle includes “Hero Connect,” which allows riders to stay connected by tracking their current location. Malo Le Masson, Head of Strategy and Global Product Planning at Hero MotoCorp, commented on the launch, saying,
“Customers, enthusiasts, and experts alike reacted favorably to the Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth edition.” It quickly became the motorcycle of choice for customers with a distinct style that sets them apart from the crowd. This new edition is both stealthy and intelligent, with a black livery accented by red accents for the most ardent riders and a Cloud-connected system Connect 1.0, for tech-savvy consumers. Stealth and smart, this is the Hero Xtreme Stealth 2.0.”
Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 Edition Engine
The new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 Edition retains its 163 cc air-cooled single-cylinder BSVI-compliant engine with Programmed FI technology. The powertrain produces 15.2 PS at 6,500 rpm and allows the motorcycle to accelerate from zero to 60 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.
It gets a new matte black colour scheme with contrast red accents on the telescopic fork, frame, and pillion grip. The new belly shroud blends in with the overall design, and the knuckle guards add even more protection. Geo Fence alerts, Speed Alerts, Topple Alerts, Tow Away Alerts, Unplug Alerts, and other features are available in the Hero Connect app.
