Japanese domestic market, or JDM as it is popularly called, refers to cars that are only made for domestic markets and are incredibly tuneable and customisable. Being a significant player in Japan, Honda has produced some of the most amazing, distinctive, and iconic automobiles. Here are the top 5 Honda project cars available in both domestic and foreign markets.

5. Honda CRX

Civic Renaissance Experimental, also known as the CRX, is a sports-oriented, three-door coupe that was manufactured from 1983 to 1991. The CRX has a well-proven 1.6-liter Inline-4 engine with a maximum power output of 135 bhp. The front engine, front wheel drive automobile was renowned for its power, agile handling, and fuel efficiency.

4. Honda Integra

The Integra, a high-end and performance-oriented Civic model, went into production in 1985 and continued until 2021. The Integra began life as a small car but has since been offered in coupe, sedan, and liftback versions. It had a 1.8-liter VTEC engine with a redline of about 195 hp at 8700 rpm. As implied by the name, the S2000 has a 2.0-liter Inline 4-cylinder engine. It was a unique vehicle with a 124 bhp/liter power output. 1. Honda NSX

The NSX is a rear-wheel-drive, mid-engine coupe sports car that seats two people. This was the most potent Honda vehicle to that point when it was introduced in 1990 with a 3.0 litre V6 engine producing 274 horsepower. It reached a top speed of 270 km/h and completed the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.9 seconds. As the name “new sportscar experimental” suggests, Honda went all-in with this vehicle, and the first generation had a body made entirely of aluminium. The second generation, or current model, is a monstrous vehicle with a 3.5 litre twin-turbo V6 and three electric motors to complete the hybrid powertrain.
