The Goodwood Festival of Speed’s breakout star this year was McMurtry Speirling. It arrived as a car that most people had never heard of before and left having recorded the fastest time ever on the course’s hill climb—39.08 seconds. Since then, the group has continued to work on creating a production version, including Formula One driver Max Chilton. The prototype was made available to CarWow for testing.

The track is wet during the initial runs, but the Speirling is still capable of incredible acceleration. This one still utilises the gearing from the Goodwood runs, reaching a top speed of 150 mph (241 kilometres per hour).
Later, there will be a chance to drive to the recently dried Silverstone circuit. On the second run, CarWow achieves astounding times of 1.4 seconds for 0-60 mph (96 kph) and 2.63 seconds for 100 mph (161 kph). (midcitiespsychiatry)

The fastest distance is 1,312 feet (400 metres), which was covered in 7.97 seconds. A quarter mile is 1,320 feet, for comparison.
The Speirling’s rear wheels are propelled by two electric motors. The driver can adjust the output using a dial on the steering wheel, but the maximum is 1,000 horsepower (746 kilowatts). Using a 60 kWh battery pack, the WTLP range is estimated to be 300 miles (261 kilometers). For about 20 minutes, a driver can turn laps comparable to a GT4 class car at slightly less than full power. Over 200 kW of DC fast charging is supported.

The Speirling has plenty of power and two fans with 4,409 pounds (2,000 kilogrammes) of downforce that drag it to the ground. Because of this configuration, traction is available even through slow-speed turns. Through tiny flaps in the back, the gases are released.
At current exchange rates, the production-spec Speirling will reportedly cost at least £1 million ($1.2 million).
