Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta are promoting their upcoming film by riding two Harley-Davidson motorcycles through Mumbai’s streets. The veteran actors rode pillion on Harley-Davidson motorcycles through Mumbai’s busy streets with an entourage of other Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Both actors were given half-face helmets. Actress Neena Gupta was overheard asking why they needed a helmet when they were only going to sit on the pillion seats. Helmets are, of course, required for anyone riding a two-wheeler. It is a piece of safety equipment that has the potential to save lives.
Because the poster for their upcoming film “Shiv Shastri BALBOA” depicts Anupam Kher riding the bike and Neena Gupta sitting on the pillion, the marketing team thought it would be a good idea to involve real Harley-Davidsons in the promotion.
Neena Gupta rode the Harley Davidson 1200X Forty Eight, while Anupam Kher rode the Softail Classic. Both of them rode for about 10 minutes in the midst of a media entourage that was constantly photographing and filming the veteran actors.
The Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight is powered by a 1,202 cc V-Twin engine with a maximum torque of 97 Nm. Harley-Davidson never discloses the maximum power figures of their motorcycles. The Softail Classic is powered by a 1,745 cc V-Twin engine with a maximum torque of 144 Nm.
Many Bollywood celebrities own high-priced motorcycles. Many of them have Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Although it is a popular motorcycle, Harley-Davidson has left India due to declining sales.
Harley-Davidson to come back with Hero MotoCorp
The American motorcycle company announced a partnership with Hero MotoCorp. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson will also collaborate to launch new products in the markets under the new Rewire strategy.
According to reports, Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson unveiled two upcoming bikes. The bikes were shown to select dealers in India by Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson. According to the report, the bike was unveiled at a private event and was a cruiser similar to the Harley-Davidson 338R. However, the bikes displayed by the brand at the time were unbranded.
The JV also showcased a street bike at an event. The report also claims that it features a more aggressive and single-cylinder engine. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson announced their partnership following the exit of the American brand’s exit from the Indian market.
