What Tata Nexon Facelift Gets Over Hyundai Venue

The Tata Nexon makeover has been fully revealed ahead of its September 14 introduction. It receives a slew of exterior and interior upgrades while being available with both petrol and diesel engines. We’ve already compared the Tata subcompact SUV to its archrival, the Maruti Brezza; now let’s see how the Nexon stacks up against the Hyundai Venue.

360-degree camera

While the 2023 Tata Nexon is not the first in the market to offer this premium option, it does put it ahead of the Hyundai Venue. It also has a blind spot monitor, which is engaged when you engage the turn indicators, thanks to the 360-degree camera. In comparison, the Venue just has a rear parking camera.

Rain sensing wipers

The Nexon previously had rain-sensing wipers, and the facelift maintains that advantage over Hyundai’s competition. While it may not appear to be a significant feature change, it helps to keep you less distracted on wet days and allows you to concentrate better on the road.

Diesel Engine With Automatic Transmission

As the number of diesel engines available in the sub-4m segment continues to shrink, the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue are among the few SUVs that still offer one. While the Venue only has a 6-speed manual transmission, the facelift Nexon has a 6-speed AMT (with paddle shifters) option for its 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Digital Driver’s Digital

While both SUVs in this segment have a digital instrument cluster, the Nexon facelift receives a genuine 10.25-inch screen display. Whereas the Venue’s display has a single configuration and can only provide basic driving information, the Nexon unit has several screen layouts and can, among other things, transmit maps from the infotainment system.

Bigger Touchscreen

The Tata Nexon facelift receives a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is not only larger than the Venue’s 8-inch device, but also provides a more premium experience due to the redesigned UI and a clearer display. Having said that, both of the infotainment systems in this car enable wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

JBL sound system

The Nexon has been updated with a JBL sound system that includes four speakers, four tweeters, and a subwoofer for a fantastic music experience. The Venue, on the other hand, includes front and rear speakers as well as front tweeters.

Height Adjustable Co-Driver Seat

Unlike the Venue, the Nexon now has a height-adjustable co-driver seat in addition to a height-adjustable driver’s seat. It aids the co-occupant in reaching a more comfortable seating position.

Launch and Competitors

The facelifted Tata Nexon is projected to begin at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to compete against the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Fronx, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
