Triumph Daytona 660: Launched in India at Rs. 9.72 Lakh

The Daytona 660, which Triumph has finally introduced to the Indian market, is priced at Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Triumph Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660 use the same platform as the new Daytona.

The Daytona 660 is totally different from its predecessor, yet it has some subtle design inspirations from the Daytona 675. It has a clear windscreen and a split LED headlight. Nevertheless, compared to a pure supersports motorbike, the Daytona 660 seems to be more roomy and more of a sports tourer.

The Daytona shares the same 660cc inline three-cylinder engine with the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 from Triumph. Nonetheless, the Daytona produces marginally more power than the other two, with 95 horsepower at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm. Regarding features, the Daytona comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard, three ride modes (Rain, Road, and Sport), and all LED lighting.

The Daytona 660’s hardware is also very high-end; it has a Showa monoshock with preload adjustment and a 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD fork. There are two 310mm front discs and one 220mm rear disc as part of its braking system.

The Daytona and Trident 660 from Triumph have the same 660cc inline three-cylinder engine. The Triumph Daytona 660 is available in three different paint schemes: Snowdonia White, Satin Granite, and Carnival Red. Bookings for the vehicle opened a while ago. It is comparable to the Rs. 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) Kawasaki Ninja 650.
