Triumph Speed T4 Launched At Rs 2.17 Lakh – Mileage, Colours

The 400 cc Triumph Speed T4 is presently the most economical model in the 400 cc series. It has a modified 398 cc engine that produces less power.

Triumph has introduced the Speed T4 to the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 2.17 lakh. The T4 is currently the most economical model in the Triumph 400cc family, having been introduced alongside the revised Speed 400. It receives a number of changes as a result, including simpler hardware and—above all—a modified version of the same engine that produces less horsepower than the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.

The Triumph Speed T4’s exterior design features, which include the round LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, single-piece seat, alloy wheels, exhaust, and tail lamp, are all carried over from the Speed 400 standard. Additionally, it receives the identical analog instrument cluster with built-in LCD screen as before. The motorcycle is featured in three distinct color schemes: Phantom Black, Cocktail Wine Red, and Metallic White. This is what makes it unique. There is also no traction control available for the Speed T4. In addition, Triumph has removed the gold finishing from the front suspension system, which is less sophisticated than the Triumph Speed 400.

In terms of bike components, the motorcycle is equipped with a telescopic front suspension setup, as opposed to the Speed 400’s 43 mm big-piston USD front fork setup. There is a monoshock system on the back. However, the braking system is identical to that of the Speed 400, with dual-channel ABS and front and rear disc brakes measuring 300 mm and 230 mm, respectively. The motorcycle has a front tire with 110 sections and a rear tire with 140 sections.

The Triumph Speed T4’s 498 cc liquid-cooled, four-valve engine is identical as the Speed 400’s, but it has been modified to produce less torque and power. Triumph claims that the bike has been adjusted for more low-end torque and improved rideability with fewer low- to mid-speed gear changes. The maximum torque is now 36 Nm, and the peak power output is stated at 30.6 bhp. The motorbike can reach a lesser maximum speed of 135 kmph as well. With the use of a slipper clutch, the engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
