Tata Punch With New Features: Updated

New features have been added to the Tata Punch by Tata Motors. The largest modifications include the addition of a wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen to the top versions, which is also present in the Punch EV. The redesigned Punch is available in 10 trim levels, with prices starting at Rs 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Punch: Features

The Punch’s exterior appears to have received no cosmetic modifications from Tata, with most of the alterations being made to the cabin’s features. The primary modification is the standardization of an LED readout-based instrument cluster, akin to the Punch CNG. Most of the time, the base model stays the same and continues to provide the standard features like front power windows, rear parking sensors, dual airbags, ABS, and ESP. The Punch (O), which adds rear power windows, central locking with a remote key, power-adjustable wing mirrors, and complete wheel covers, has taken the place of the Pure Rhythm pack.

The Adventure trim level retains its features, including a 3.5-inch display music system, controls positioned on the steering wheel, an inside rearview mirror with reduced glare, a parcel tray, and headlamps that follow the driver home. With the addition of a reverse camera and a 7-inch Harman touchscreen including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Rhythm pack upgrades the stereo system.

The Adventure S and Adventure Plus S versions are new to the lineup. An electric sunroof, a revised center console with rear AC vents, automatic headlamps and wipers, and a driver seat height adjustment are included in both versions. But the Adventure + S also comes with the Rhythm pack’s infotainment system, front and rear Type C quick charging outlets, a rear wiper, and keyless entry and exit.

The Accomplished trim has been replaced further up the line by the Accomplished Plus trim, which now sports a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Expanding upon the standard Adventure trim, the Accomplished + adds additional features like cruise control, keyless entry and go, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and DRLs, fog lamps, rear air conditioning vents, height-adjustable driver seat, hyperstyle wheels, rear wiper and defogger, and a cooled glovebox. This is improved by the Accomplished Plus S, which adds an automatic headlight and wiper system as well as a sunroof.

While this is going on, the new top-spec Creative + trim improves upon the Accomplished + trim with features like puddle lights, a wireless charging pad, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, and tire pressure monitoring. A sunroof is added to the Creative + S.

Tata Punch : Powertrain

The Punch’s mechanicals remain unchanged from Tata; the micro-SUV is still available with a 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-liter bi-fuel CNG engine option. The former has an AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission and produces 86.5 horsepower and 115 Nm. In gasoline mode, the bi-fuel mill produces the same amount of power and torque, but in CNG mode, it produces 72.5 bhp and 103 Nm less. There is only one 5-speed manual gearbox available for this machine.
